Weekend Wanderings

So often, when people ask what trips and vacations do you have planned we think only about the places we have to travel to, whether that’s in the car or a plane. What about the trips we take in our home towns, the stay-cations and the local adventures? These are some of my favorite!

This morning my husband and I left the house at 4:15am to catch the sunrise at one of our favorite hikes in the area, Matthew Winters. It was quiet and peaceful as we hiked along in the dark. It was just us, the chirping birds and one or two people squeezing in their morning run. We reached our favorite lookout just before the sun peaked over the horizon. What an incredible way to start the day and the weekend! What are some of your favorite local adventures?
